MY DEVOTION

The  Lord  is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the  Lord  is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?   When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.   Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.    One thing have I desired of the  Lord , that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the  Lord  all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the  Lord , and to enquire in his temple.   For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.   And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifice of joy, I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord.   Psalm 27:1-6 Lord be my light and my salvation.

I have done what is right and good, don't abandon me to my enemies. Promise that you will help your servant; don't let the arrogant oppress me. My eyes are tired from watching for your saving help, for the deliverance you promised. Treat me according to your constant love, and teach me your commands. I am your servant, give me understanding that I may know your teachings. Lord, it is time for you to act, because people are disobeying your law. I love your commands more than gold. And so I follow your instruction I hate all wrong ways. Psalm 119:121-128   

How clearly the sky reveals God's glory! How plainly it shows what he has done! Each day announces it to the following day, each night repeats it to the next. No speech for words are used, no sound is heard; yet their message goes out to all the world, and is heard to the ends of the earth. God made a home in the sky for the sun,  it comes out in the morning to run a race. It starts at one end of the sky and goes across to the other.  Nothing can hide from its heat. Psalm 19:1-6 Yet I was the one who taught Israel to walk. I took my people in my arms, but they did not acknowledge that I took care of them.  I drew them to me with affection and love. I picked them up and held them to my cheek; I bent down to them and feed them. Hosea 11:3-4  

  IF I MEET JESUS Where? He is with me, at daily Mass. Where? in the Blessed Sacrament, he is waiting for me. Where? in every creature I meet. His assurance that he will be with me always till the end of time, and he is smiling, ever pleased to see me come to HIM. Where? in my daily challenges, in danger he is always near to protect me. knowing that he loves me just as I am. He is always there for me. If I meet Jesus, I know it is not If because He is with me always. He is my Saviour. He is the Good Shepherd. He is the true vine, and I am one of his branches, and He will be my LORD always.    Take me to a safe refuge, for you are my protector, my strong defence against my enemies. Let me live in your sanctuary all my life; let me find safety under your wings Psalm 61:3-4

That each day I draw closer to you Lord That each day my heart like that of my Lord Jesus Christ That each day I grow in holiness That each day cares and worries do not take control of my life That each day my knowledge of you increases That each day I see you in all creatures That each day I grow in humility. My prayer to you Lord that I am who you desire me to be. Your Child. Father in Heaven, I seek your face today. Through the power of the Holy Spirit open my eyes, open my understanding to the deeper meaning of your words. I seek your face in all that I do today. Dear Lord may I know your truth.  Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord. Psalm 119:1

Lord good morning to you. Each morning  I wake up, Who is my first encounter? It is you Lord, for when it is time For me to get up, your lovely and silence voice calls gently I am up for a new day. I may be in a hurry to get going. I think I have thousands of things to do. Where do my strength come from? It is you Lord who is my strength. Your Spirit guides me all the way. As I open my eyes to your gentle call, my Lord Good Morning. I Love you Lord.

‘’LORD God of our ancestor Jacob, may you be praised forever and ever! You are great and  powerful, glorious, splendid and majestic.   Everything in heaven and earth is yours, and you are king, supreme ruler over all.   All riches and wealth come from you: you rule everything by your strength and power; and you are able to make anyone great, and strong. Now our God, we give you thanks, and we praise your glorious name. “Yet my people and I cannot really give you anything, because everything is a gift from you, and we have only given back what is yours already. You know, O LORD, that we pass through life like exiles and strangers, was our ancestors did. Our days are like a passing shadow and we cannot escape death.    1 Chronicles 29:10-15
